Eats Newsletter May 2020

In lieu of our typical newsletter, we are providing you with an update on what is happening here at Eats in our continued response to COVID-19. As many of you have noticed, all employees are required to wear masks and gloves.  We are requesting that in-store customers wear masks too, in addition to the already required gloves. This protects not only other shoppers, but our staff too. Please be sure to follow social distancing guidelines when you are shopping with us.

We are sanitizing every cart and basket after each use, doing a store sanitizing of commonly used surfaces several times a day, and cleaning and sanitizing the entire store at the end of each day. Our staff is filling all bulk foods, spices, herbs, teas, and coffee requests. We continue to monitor the number of shoppers in the store and lock the doors when we have reached capacity.

You can refer to our evolving website (eatsnaturalfoods.com) for: store hours, curbside and delivery instructions and forms, phone numbers, aisle gallery, and more. We will continue with our current store hours and curbside/delivery schedules at least until the stay at home order is lifted by the governor. If you must come in, you can pre-order your bulk items online; simply select “in-store bulk pick-up” and we will have it ready for you when you get here. We urge our wonderful customers in the at-risk group to continue to use the curbside/delivery options or try it out if you have not yet done so.

A major challenge that we have had is managing inventory with constantly changing availability. We are optimistic that supply will start leveling out as the industry adjusts to the “new normal”. In the upcoming weeks we will be replacing items that we cannot get with substitutes. Perhaps we will find new favorites!

Lastly, the bittersweet good-bye to our long-term employee, Susanna. She is entering the next phase of her life, marriage 🙂 and moving :(. Many of you know her recently as the lady running our new curbside orders. Before that, well, she’s done just about everything in the store at some point. Thanks Susanna!
